Aurora Veterinary Clinic
We aim to provide client peace of mind by giving the best quality small animal veterinary care and advice that you can trust, 24 hours a day
Aurora Veterinary Clinic is owned by Andrew Stalker BVMS MRCVS. We are a fully equipped small animal veterinary practice providing comprehensive companion animal medical and surgical care. We opened in 2006 and now have over 3300 clients and have treated more than 6700 patients. New clients continue to join us at a rate of about 40 per month.
The practice is in Bucksburn on the north side of Aberdeen. Most of our clients live within a 10 mile radius which encompasses the whole of Aberdeen city; towns to the west as far as Kingwells and Westhill; the area to the north of Aberdeen including Blackburn, Kintore and Inverurie and to the east - Newmachar, Dyce and Bridge of Don.
We are located in a converted church which gives us a slightly different feel to many other practices and we work hard to make the clinic a less threatening place to visit for more anxious patients.
Our shared car park has seven parking spaces dedicated to clients so you will almost always get parked close to the door.
In the front part of the building we have a friendly, open-plan reception leading to three consulting rooms and our dispensary. In the back section of the practice we have our in-patient facilities including separate dog kennels and cattery, a prep area, operating theatre and x-ray suite. We are always happy to give guided tours of the practice if you would like to see how we look after your pet before, during and after procedures or if you are iinterested in seeing our equipment/facilities.
We are here to provide a service to you the client, by helping you to look after your animal companions. Our frontline clinical services will always be provided by experienced veterinary surgeons and qualified veterinary nurses who are dedicated to caring for your pets. In addition, we have a strong team of support staff to assist you in your dealings with the practice and who carry out all the day to day activities necessary for the smooth running of a busy veterinary clinic.
Currently, in August 2013, we have 5 vets, 3 qualified nurses, 1 trainee nurse and 2 receptionists.
